The LES431A-R2 series Modbus gateway is a bi-directional gateway for integrating new and existing Modbus/RTU and Modbus/ASCII serial devices to operate with newer TCP/IP networked-based devices. The LES431A-R2 gateway features one independent Ethernet port and MAC address. It provides a simple and cost-effective way to bring remote management and data accessibility to thousands of older Modbus devices that cannot otherwise connect to a network. The LES431A-R2 allows users to select client or server operation mode for each serial port. It enables an Ethernet client to control serial servers, and also allows a serial client to control Ethernet servers.

Configuration can be done via Black Box Windows Configuration Utility, Telnet Console, or Web Browser so you can improve productivity and cut down on the amount of time required to troubleshoot a serial device on a factory floor or in a remote location.
